In cooperation with Turkish Standards Institute and inconformity with Turkish Accreditation Agency and European Organization of Quality, TÇMB has organized “TS EN ISO 14001 Environment Management System Assessor/ Lead Assessor Training Program and Exam” on 15- 19 June 2009 for member plants experts whom to apply and have been applying the TS EN ISO 14001 Standard in their factories.

The trainer was one of the Lead Assessors of Turkish Standards Institute, Environmental Engineer, Hatice BEKTAŞ and the program was carried out in Grand Sürmeli Otel, Ankara with 15 participants.

The training has started with the introduction of Turkish Standards Institute and Management Systems, TS EN ISO 19011 Quality System and TS EN ISO 14001 Environment Management System Assessor Guides were explained; in this scope principles of auditing, structuring, management and application of the examination programme, selection of the auditing team, selecting questions for the audit and execution were the main subjects covered. Moreover, with the groups formed during the training and in accordance with the related issues, a trial of an auditing procedure was exercised.

Finally, after the training program was completed, participants took “Environmental Systems Assessor Examination” which was optional and organized by Turkish Standard Institute Department of Personnel Certification.
